The number one position that GM commands in its industry is indicative of high production volumes, significant market shares, and a relatively stable financial history. Ford Motor Company (F) A respected firm in the industry is Ford Motor Company, which is among the oldest rivals to General Motors. Ford has a long history of manufacturing a complete range of cars, pickups, SUVs, and electric vehicles worldwide. Ford has maintained its existence under brands such as Ford and Lincoln and has moved towards electric mobility to fit with market dynamics.
